Liar's
Club
The Scene Liar's Club attracts locals who can appreciate the finer moments of the last 20 plus years of rock and roll with a Pabst Blue Ribbon. With a laid-back atmosphere, a dirty sound system and an impressive selection of classic KISS memorabilia, Liar's Club draws a crowd of regulars and fills with yuppies and college crew on the weekends.
The Music Formerly hosting Chicago's longest running drum-and-bass night (Dubshack's "Brockout"), Liar's Club now calls itself home to the same DJs on the third Thursday of the month with "Cosmic Breaks presents Root" for the same $5 cover charge. But on weekdays, it's a perfect place to hear your favorite forgotten rock classics. Wednesdays serve up "What a Way to Go-Go" and $2 Maker's Mark specials, while Friday and Saturday give way to dance music, mixed drinks and an opened second floor (complete with pool table and even a KISS pinball machine) to accommodate the weekend crowd.
