I am a writer, researcher, and editor living in New York City. I am also a wife, mother of twins, and co-founder and co-owner of OddFellows Ice Cream Company.

My areas of interest include international relations, global trends, travel, social entrepreneurship, and martial arts. My writing and research have appeared in print, broadcast, and online media. I have worked as a reporter in Taiwan, a research analyst in Kosovo, a media liaison for a think tank in DC, and as an international flight attendant based in Chicago. My first job out of college was writing obituaries (alas, a dead-end job).

I studied German at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (Munich, Germany) and Mandarin Chinese at National Taiwan Normal University (Taipei, Taiwan). I am a graduate of Northwestern University (BS in Journalism), the University of Chicago (MA in Social Science) and the New School in New York City (MS in International Affairs).

I am currently working on my first novel.
