I am an independent writer and editor living in New York City — as well as a wife, mother of twins, and co-founder of OddFellows Ice Cream Company.

My areas of interest include global trends, travel, culture, and social entrepreneurship. My writing has appeared in print, broadcast, and online media. I have worked as a reporter in Taiwan, a research analyst in Kosovo, a media specialist for a DC think tank, and as an international flight attendant based in Chicago. My first job out of college was writing obituaries (alas, a dead-end job).

I am a graduate of Northwestern University (BS in Journalism), the University of Chicago (MA in Social Science) and the New School in New York City (MS in International Affairs).

Currently, I am working on my first novel.
