I am an independent writer and editor living in New York City — as well as a wife, mother of twins, and co-founder of OddFellows Ice Cream Company.
My areas of interest include international relations, global trends, travel and culture, the environment, and social entrepreneurship. My writing has appeared in print, broadcast, and online media. I have worked as a reporter in Taiwan, a research analyst in Kosovo, a media specialist for a DC think tank, and as an international flight attendant based in Chicago. My first job out of college was writing obituaries (alas, a dead-end job).
I am a graduate of Northwestern University (BS in Journalism), the University of Chicago (MA in Social Science) and the New School (MS in International Affairs).
Currently, I am an MFA candidate at Warren Wilson’s Program for Writers and working on my first novel.
